Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQs

Yes. Our Bronze level membership is free, you get unlimited offers every month and a limited number of actions. Actions are consumed when you enter a target and view offer details by clicking on the link in a text or email. The system lets you know this as it happens. Once your free actions are used, you will still be available to receive offers from buyers, you just are unable to view the details unless you subscribe. A Customer Experience Rep calls you to discuss available options; however, if you decline at this time, you’ll be unable to view further details on offers or make targets until the next month when they reset again. The Bronze membership gives you a chance to see how great the system works and test it out before committing further.

A Customer Experience Team members will call you to discuss your options to continue as an active member able to review all offers sent to you or issue more targets.

Each entity or operation that sells the grain requires an account and we have a security check in place that limits one email per account. Accounts can however have multiple users; for example, if you and another family both need access, we can accommodate that.

Yes – you can view our Buyers under the current buyers section of our site… here.

New members will receive a text and an email that contains an activation link. Please click the link from either your text or email. It will open a browser and you will be prompted to review our Privacy Statement, our Terms and Conditions, and then set your PIN and Password. Once complete, your account is live and ready to make Targets or receive Offers.

The ability to see offers is exclusive to CXN360 members. To see offers, you either need to log into the system online or review the Targets sent directly to your mobile phone. CXN360 is not a listing service which means you will only see offers issued directly to you. You can view the offers issued directly to you from buyers.

The offers issued to you on the CXN360 service are cash offers from buyers with terms and conditions to you, they are real offers to buy your grain. The offers you get from an elevator can vary. Some companies share their current basis levels to just give you market information, while some companies make you a price offer but you need to discuss the terms. With CXN360, the price, quantity, and terms are all in the offer, giving you the ability to accept without making any phone calls unless you want clarity.

No. CXN360 is a membership-based service. There is no “catch” or additional fees beyond your membership fee. We do not take any commissions on any bushels sold over the system, no matter the amount sold.

Yes, CXN360 has an app on both iOS App Store and Google Play Store. You can use the CXN360 app on your mobile device (Wi-Fi or data enabled) and you can also choose to receive offers via push notifications in the app or continue to get text messages – or both.

Yes, Ag Exchange Group Inc., providers of CXN360, are committed to transparency, simplicity and trust with your ag data. We are Ag Data Transparent certified company. Learn more about what that means for you here and read our Data Policy here.

Targets & Offers

Offers depend on market conditions locally and internationally for the CXN360 buyers.  If you are ever concerned you are missing out, we always encourage you to send the buyers a target on the commodities you are interested in selling.  Should you find you are receiving too many offers on commodities you don’t grow you can configure your settings so that you only receive offers for the commodities that pertain to you, limiting notifications that are not relevant.

CXN360 is not a listing service and that is what differentiates us from other services. Therefore, there is no single page that lists all the offers. Instead, offers are targeted specifically to you and you will receive notification about them via text or email. When you sign up and sign on, the quickest way to receive offers is to send a Target to the buyers you wish to engage. Remember your offer will include your contact details, so be realistic about your Target and keep it to what you want to manage, perhaps one truckload or two. We caution our members to not be extremely bullish on the prices in their offer. As we say, “being bullish is good, being realistic is best.”

There are 2 types of contracting available within the CXN360 service: 1. Cash (flat) pricing for commodities 2. Basis pricing linked to contract months with commodities that are actively traded on exchanges.

Yes. Targets can be cancelled at any time with two simple clicks. Once cancelled, your Target is no longer available for buyers to see or respond to.

Yes. Marketing to multiple buyers simultaneously is one of the biggest benefits of CXN360. You can make the offer to multiple buyers with a target price and delivery window. The first past the post in the service is the one to accept the offers so you have no risk of over contracting.

Your offers will come as either delivered terminal (T) or pick up farm / FOB Farm (F). You will need to determine the shipping of the grain yourself or through a third party. If it is bought FOB Farm (F), the buyer is responsible for freight.

Yes. However, you must talk to the buyer before you can cancel it. An agreement is binding once you have entered your PIN. Should something change for some reason, you must call the buyer and they will initiate the process to cancel the contract. The system does not allow for either party to blindly cancel an agreement.

Always! Transparency is fundamental to CXN360. Both buyers and growers have access to the contact names, email and phone numbers should they need to connect.

Growers are able to send Flat Price Targets to Buyers through our service. Buyers can send their offers to Growers on a Flat Price or Basis prices.

Contracts

Similar to traditional contracts, all deliveries are subject to grade at unload. Communication between buyer and producer is important. Sharing samples is one best practice to help ensure the buyer knows what to expect.

Currently CXN360 is not set up to negotiate individual offers. The best practice is to decline the offer as issued to you, and then issue a Target back to the buyer with the terms you would like. Alternately, you can contact them directly and discuss the terms of the contract to gain clarity.

The exchange of payments does not occur through CXN360. Payment is received as per usual process with grain buyers. You can and should contact the buyer if you have specific questions about the payment process.

All Buyers in our network are insured and either licensed or vetted strongly to ensure you receive payment on your transactions. All Buyers have gone through an extensive process that includes a discussion of their payment process before becoming members. Ag Exchange Group has a vested interest in having all parties act with integrity. Growers should receive payment against the payment schedules each buyer shared before becoming members. Should either party blatantly execute with ill intent (not pay or consistently deliver substandard product), we can and will cancel memberships.

There is not a library on the service that houses buyers’ contracts. As a grower, if you are concerned about the contracts you are pre-agreeing to, we strongly encourage you to contact the buyer. In fact, when you review an offer on CXN360, the buyer’s contact information is available for you to review. You can quickly and efficiently reach out to them to discuss the terms and conditions to their contract.

Yes. CXN360 terms of use have all been vetted by the correct legal channels. The contracts are binding. CXN360 uses a password and PIN process which serves as each party’s digital signature and audit trail for the agreements. Should there ever be an issue, Ag Exchange Group will provide both parties with the necessary audit trail which documents the steps taken by both parties of the agreement.

The CXN360 service is similar to traditional contracts, all deliveries are subject to grade at unload. Communication between buyer and producer is important. Sharing samples is one best practice to help ensure the buyer knows what to expect. There is actually a place on CXN360 when entering a target, that you can attach a copy of a third-party grading sheet so the buyer has that on hand.
